Climate protection now! The way to clean heavy goods traffic!
Alternoil video illustrates this path

Transport accounts for more than 25% of the energy used worldwide. Experts estimate that the global demand for energy will continue to rise, probably by a further 30% by 2040 alone, which will also increase CO2 emissions for moving people and goods.
In the interest of a shared and healthy future, we must reduce all pollutant emissions, and we can achieve this in the short term, for example by changing engines, lubricants and fuels through innovation in such a way that efficiency is significantly increased and vehicle emissions are greatly reduced. In the future, we will need several different types of mobility with a variety of fuels to meet the growing demand for transportation, especially in a low-carbon world. Most vehicles will be powered by modern engines, lubricated by advanced types of lubricants and running on modern CO2-reduced or even CO2-neutral fuels.
We at Alternoil have recognised and understood this. LNG, Liquefied Natural Gas, is such a modern fuel for heavy duty transport. If all trucks in Germany would have been converted to LNG, Germany could have achieved the Paris climate targets. As a modern filling station operator, we supply our customers with modern fuels, e.g. LNG and biofuels for heavy-duty transport, but also with electricity for quick-chargeable batteries and hydrogen for fuel cells in heavy-duty transport. Our work at Alternoil is funded by the European Union, the Federal Republic of Germany and the State of Lower Saxony.
In October 2019 we opened Europe's largest filling station for liquid natural gas, LNG, in Bakum on the A1 motorway. Together with our partners, we will soon be commissioning further LNG filling stations, in XL plant format and in XS compact format. At the same time, we have also ensured LNG availability for our customers in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy by optimizing logistics. Naturally, we are not losing sight of the developments for electric and hydrogen mobility. At Alternoil, we strongly believe that with today's modern fuels we are well prepared for tomorrow's traffic.
